The polycarbonate seed tube ensures seed stays dry and visible, while the perspex baffle helps protect feeding birds from the elements as well as from squirrels. The base can be easily removed and reattached by using the metal push buttons for cleaning. To ensure the feeder performs as intended, install it at least 46cm away from other feeders or objects that squirrels could cling to or reach across from.

For best results, site it at least 2 metres away from trees, shrubs, or other potential launching points for squirrels and cats. These younger animals tend to be more active during the spring and summer months, which may increase the chances of access during that time.
